Hello
This site is a school project site and is not meant to be taken serious as of yet.
I am Amanda Sofía, an artist who moves between realism and surrealism, using black and white as my language of contrast and depth. My work is a dialogue between the personal and the political, shaped by my own experiences and the larger forces that define our world.
Through graphite, oil, and the absence of color, I explore themes of identity, power, and perception. Feminism, racism, class, and history are at the core of my pieces—concepts that are often imposed on us before we even define ourselves. My art is both confrontation and reflection, a space where the weight of the past meets the urgency of the present.
Each piece is a question, an unraveling. I don’t paint to provide answers but to challenge what we assume to be true. In a world saturated with noise, I choose stark contrasts, silent rebellion, and the shadows that tell the stories we often overlook. (Historial)
